Programs worth a closer look

Chosen to show the range of award types, destinations and published costs: professional programs with a published tuition, one per school. It is not a ranking, and paid placements never take part in it.

Baking & pastry

A craft of its own

Pastry, bread and chocolate work is trained differently from the savoury kitchen: precision, fermentation, lamination and temperature rather than speed on the line.

We keep dedicated baking and pastry programs apart from general culinary courses, and name the specialisation: pâtisserie, artisan bread, or chocolate and confectionery.

66 verified baking, pastry, bread or chocolate programs at 58 schools.

Compare

Compare what matters

Put up to four programs side by side. We never rank them or convert currencies, and we warn when two programs are not comparable: a one-day class and a two-year diploma are different products.

Online learning

Online does not mean no kitchen

Professional online programs still involve practical work: a home kitchen, equipment, ingredients, sometimes time on campus or a placement. We separate recognised online qualifications from structured professional courses and from recreational classes, and we never call a hybrid program fully online.

15 online or hybrid professional programs listed so far.
